A large-scale renovation with unique challenges

Transforming a former karting track by Tom Coronel into a modern play paradise required not only creativity but also technical expertise. Monkeytown The Hague covers a total area of 3,500 m², making it one of the largest projects realized within the Monkeytowns Vivaprojects realised. With such scale, careful planning and teamwork were crucial.

The entire asphalt surface had to be leveled before any flooring could be installed. This demanding preparation laid the foundation for the installation of 500 m² luxury vinyl flooring and 3,000 m² of carpet, complemented by custom walk-off mats at the entrance and vinyl wall cladding in the toilet areas.

Coordination across multiple teams

One of the biggest challenges of this project was coordinating the work between various teams. From leveling to carpet and luxury vinyl installation, each phase had to align perfectly to stay on schedule. Flexibility was key, as the sheer size of the project and the variety of spaces required constant adaptation.

Thanks to strong partnerships and years of experience, Vivaprojects was able to orchestrate the process efficiently. With over 15 Monkeytown projects completed worldwide, from Madrid to Weert and Leidsendam. The team knew exactly how to balance speed, quality, and collaboration.

Logistical challenges and smart solutions

Managing a 3,500 m² project required precise coordination. From leveling the old asphalt floor to delivering large volumes of carpet and vinyl, timing was crucial.

By streamlining logistics and working closely with suppliers, we reduced delays, costs, and environmental impact, while using sustainable materials like recycled carpet, durable luxury vinyl flooring, and eco-friendly adhesives.

Sustainable and safe materials

Safety and sustainability were key. The recycled carpet and durable vinyl flooring from Vivafloors offer long-lasting performance with a lower footprint.

Adhesives from Uzin and leveling products from Pul Vloerbewerking ensured a solid result, while custom walk-off mats and vinyl wall finishes added safety and easy maintenance. All materials meet strict standards, making them perfect for Monkeytown’s high-traffic environment.

Complete service from start to finish

Vivaprojects once again demonstrated its ability to manage complex, large-scale projects from A to Z. From consultation and product selection to preparation, installation, and final detailing, the client was fully relieved of any concerns.

The result: a vibrant new Monkeytown in The Hague, built on sustainable choices, flawless coordination, and tailor-made solutions.

This project is yet another showcase of how Vivaprojects combines experience, flexibility, and strong partnerships to bring ambitious visions to life.
